Welcome to the Department of Sociology

About

Sociology is the study of human societies and social life. It studies how human thought and behavior is shaped by social pressures, and how individual thought and behaviors shape groups, organizations, or society as a whole.

Our discipline is a foundational element of any profession that requires a sensitivity to group behavior , group influences, and differences in groups, including education, marketing and communications, human resources management, social work, and public health, among others.
