Sociology Major Program
Complete ALL of the following Courses:
- DATA 205 – Introductory Analytics
- DATA 212W – Research Methods
- SOC 101 – General Introduction to Sociology
- SOC 331 – Foundations of Sociological Theory
- DATA 334 – Applied Research
- SOC 381W – Senior Seminars
Complete at least 5 courses in the following Course Sets: Sociology Courses
One of which must be a SOC 381W seminar or other approved 300-level course.
How to Declare Major:
- Fill out the Declaration Form (click here to download).
- Bring printed copies of your fully completed form to the sociology to meet with a faculty member who can review your plans and provide you with advising. That faculty member will sign off on your form. Please contact the department if you need to submit your materials online.
- Submit your signed Declaration to QC Hub for processing at: https://support.qc.cuny.edu/support/home
