- DATA 212W – Research Methods
- SOC 101 – General Introduction to Sociology
- SOC 331 – Foundations of Sociological Theory OR DATA 334 – Applied Research
- SOC 381W – Senior Seminars
Complete at least 1 courses in the following Course Sets:

How to declare your Minor:
- Fill out the Minor Approval Form (click here to download)
- Fill out the Declaration Form (click here to download).
- Bring printed copies of your fully completed forms to the sociology to meet with a faculty member who can review your plans and provide you with advising. That faculty member will sign off on your two forms. Please contact the department if you need to submit your materials online.
- Submit your signed Minor Approval Form to the Sociology Administrators in Powdermaker 252
- Submit your signed Declaration to QC Hub for processing at: https://support.qc.cuny.edu/support/home
